Album Details: Given his proximity to Planet Jazz, it is surprising that a number of Carmichael's all-time zippiest numbers have rarely been recorded by the great jazz instrumentalists. The pianist is again in a ruminative, reminiscing mood here, and the whole track is effectively introspective. Then too, the very idea of dividing Carmichael's output into genres is, in a sense, counter-productive.
